What is an active jobsite?
A jobsite becomes active when you ask IRYS to activate monitoring for equipment assigned to that project. Monthly service billing starts at activation—not when the hardware is purchased or delivered.
Can I move hardware to another project?
Yes. The hardware is customer-owned and can be redeployed. Contact IRYS to close or deactivate the old site and activate the equipment on the new jobsite.
What if a unit breaks?
IrysConnect hardware includes a 12-month limited warranty against defects. The warranty does not cover loss, theft, misuse, accidental damage or damage caused by jobsite conditions outside the product's intended use.
How does rental billing work?
Rental billing begins when the equipment is activated for the jobsite, not while IRYS is provisioning or shipping it. The first month is due at activation. Stripe then bills the rental automatically each month. Rentals have a 60-day minimum and continue until the rental is ended and the IRYS equipment is returned.
What if hardware is lost or damaged?
Customer-owned equipment is the customer's responsibility after delivery. Rental equipment remains IRYS property and must be returned when the rental ends. Lost, stolen, unreturned or customer-damaged rental equipment may be subject to replacement charges under the applicable rental terms.
What does “cellular included” mean?
While a jobsite is active, the service price includes the cellular connectivity used by IrysConnect gateways and direct cellular T/RH sensors. You do not need to purchase a separate SIM or data plan from us.
How often does it report?
The standard reporting interval is hourly. Alert behavior and supported intervals can vary by device and deployment.
How do mixed deployments bill?
The $99/month active-jobsite fee covers the IrysConnect platform, cellular connectivity, and Bluetooth monitoring for up to 32 supported Bluetooth devices per gateway. Direct cellular T/RH sensors are also supported; the first 4 are included and additional direct cellular sensors are $15/month each.
How far does Bluetooth reach?
Capacity and coverage are different. A gateway supports up to 32 concurrent supported Bluetooth devices, but usable range depends on the device and the physical site. Wide-open spaces provide the best coverage; concrete walls, metal, equipment, enclosed rooms, corridors and multiple floors can reduce range. Additional gateways may be needed for coverage.
When does billing stop?
Service is billed while a jobsite is active. Contact IRYS when monitoring is complete so the site can be deactivated before the hardware is moved or stored.
Do you support concrete substrate monitoring?
Yes. IrysConnect can incorporate supported DeFelsko PosiTector CMM IS in-situ RH probes into the remote project workflow alongside ambient temperature and humidity monitoring.
Does remote monitoring replace ASTM F2170 testing?
No. Remote visibility can support the workflow and provide useful trend data, but formal ASTM F2170 testing must still follow the applicable procedure, project specifications and required documentation.
Why monitor ambient and substrate conditions together?
They answer different questions. Ambient sensors show conditions around the flooring, while in-situ probes measure RH within the concrete. Viewing both helps the project team understand the condition history in context.
Can substrate probes appear on the project floorplan?
Supported monitoring points can be associated with project locations so teams can identify where readings originate and review them alongside other jobsite devices.
